[CLIENT] - Settings Lost upon Closing the Game (15TH AND LAST REPOST)

We've reached a point where I've been reporting this years, and now The Boards will die before this ongoing issue is even been acknowledged. Sad to know that having a trashy client have the same issue over years has become the order of the day, and I have no reason to believe this will change.

We're dealing with a client is supposedly "built for the future" with no 64 bit version. The following has been happening for more than two years now. Every time I re-enter the game, the cliant arbitrarily does one of two things or both:

1.- Forgets Keybindins and active quickcast settings entirely, defaults to whatever stuff it feels like remembering. 2.- Sets the game to Windonwed instead of borderless.

Every single time I have to change the settings back and I don't know what's triggering it. I wish I could provide more info but I don't know what's happening. The game is just not saving my preferred settings.

I wish I could continue to re-post sporadically until this gets at the very least acknowledged, but now I know this is the last time. I have no hopes, but might as well try one last time.

I have literally no idea what I'm talking about so take what I say with a grain of salt. I do have 2 things you could try tho.. Try each first and see if it works before going to the next. File paths are for windows sorry if that doesn't apply.

  1. Make sure all files under "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config" are not read-only by right click each file > Properties > Untick the "read only" checkbox if checked then click okay.

  2. Edit the input.ini file with your desired settings (It is for hotkey settings) manually. Each line should simply have a config setting like this https://i.imgur.com/yAzeUJd.png. Here is a list of settings that can go in there. Just scroll down little http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1341075&page=1#post15644321. Also make sure in the file SettingsToPersist.json located at "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\DATA\CFG\defaults" says this near the bottom. Just right click and open with any text editor. https://i.imgur.com/B4pJHuW.png If it says 'false' change it to 'true' You might want to change other settings here also to true. All mine are set to true besides the individual ""persisted": false," lines. If this works for one game then great! you can always just copy this file into your folder before each game instead of redoing all settings.

  3. If settings still not persisting through games you could try editing the PersistedSettings.json file also in "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config" by right clicking and opening with a text editor. This file is a lot more structured than the input.ini but you should be able to find your way around it.
