"Unable to connect" notification in queue. League restored to a previous version? Not patching.
So recently, client was running fine; I queued up for a ranked game with a duo partner, and then I suddenly get a popup from the client saying something along the lines of "You've lost connection with the League servers," I don't remember exactly, even though I can see that the client is still connected and running behind the popup. Duo partner (who I am on Discord with) had no issue.
I am forced to exit the client, and even though I am the party leader, the queue continues searching until my partner leaves.
Upon trying to relaunch the League client, I get a notification saying my version has been restored to an earlier version, even though I didn't request a client repair. I accept, restart the client, etc.
League is trying to patch 56.3 MB worth, which takes long enough as is, but instead of progressing, it will download up to a certain point, then go BACK. (I.E. I had downloaded 4.9 MB already, but then it slowly begins to go back down until it reaches 4.1 MB downloaded) All the while the time estimated to complete patching is getting longer and longer.
I tried exiting the client and relaunching, this time as an Administrator, to see if that would fix anything. Bad mistake: it's not not patching at all.
I have checked my internet, League's server status, my connection to League servers, download speed, programs running in the background, running as admin, launching the legacy client, and restarting my computer. The only thing left is a clean reinstall.
Any thoughts/suggestions? I have absolutely no idea what could have caused this to specifically happen to me other than a faulty patch, which still doesn't make a lick of sense because my duo partner was and is still unaffected.
