Does MR actually do anything?

I had it built but there was not damage reduction. I also noticed this when I am the AP user against people with MR.

incoming damage * (100/(100+mr)) = damage dealt

Obviously you have to take away mr due to penetration and you will receive more/less damage depending on runes/buffs/debuffs

I also think MP does nothing. For example I get the MP boots and I do the same damage I do as before i got them. keep in mind the enemies items havent changed.

Armors effects are just barely noticeable.

MR is unnoticeable.

Thornmail i use just for like a on hit version of sunfire for minions cause its not effective to use against champions. It used to be effective like 6 months to a year ago.

on another note i t hink it is funny how my ferocity build nasus with lvl 2 runes of armor, can tank an entire team by hiself with no armor and the only built defense was item 3065 . I killed 3 of them before the others backed off because my team start to finally roll in .
