Disclaimer I'm not saying that this will work for everybody, I'm just saying that its working for me.

As many of us are aware, there is an issue with the league client taking the installation hostage. Today, i have tried to download league on three different machines and encountered the 0 kbps issue. As with most of us, this isn't a magical and self replicating internet issue. All three machines have been on the same internet connection, which is a 100MBps fiber optic connection. Last time i checked it (earlier today) i was getting ~91MBps down, and ~96MBps up. I'm 100% sure that this is a league client issue that needs to be resolved by Riot, but we have had many client issues over the years and I'm not getting my hopes up about this one any time soon either. Ever tried clicking the League icon before the client loads?

Anyway, on to why you clicked on the post. I'm not sure if the rest of you are experiencing the exact same issue as i am, so i will describe what I've been going through. A few days ago i attempted to install league and ran into this problem, but i started the installation at like 4AM so i figured i would bite the bullet and just see if the problem would fix its self. 14 hours later, on the same 100MBps connection i described earlier, the installation was finished. Yesterday, i accidentally corrupted the flash drive that i had league installed on and when i went to play today i realized that i would have to try again. Today, however, i don't have a spare 14 hours.

Whenever i exit the client while it is updating on a fresh install, i have no idea right now about regular updates, the client will no longer open for me for whatever reason. So whenever i get the 0 KBps i can either remove League and start over, or i can wait for 14 hours. On my latest attempt (third machine) to install league, i tried having the client do the "repair installation" and it stopped the installation and went to repair its self. Once it started to do the repair, i exited the client and had no issue reopening it. I was also please to see that the client had gone back to its normal speed of about 6-7 MBps for the installation.

Currently, I'm still trying to download League, however whenever the client gets to 252mb left, it goes back to 0 KBps no matter what i do. While this isn't a complete fix for the issue, 252mb at 0 KBps is a lot better than 3000+mb. If this helps you in any way, please come back and do the poll so that other people can see if this has been helpful or not without going through the entire form.

Edit The 252MBps "issue" now appears to be a visual bug and the client is updating much faster than 0 KBps this time. My download Just finished while i was typing this edit and last time i looked it was at 91%.

I also removed "kinda" from the end of the first sentence.
