[GAMEPLAY] malfunctioning particles

White squares appear over particles for some torches and environmental effects. Big white half-dome appears over spawn platform.

(not pictured) Hovering over a teammate on spawn platform causes the white dome to turn a distorted purple color, like a normal map. Changing the game's video quality slider is a workaround.
