I'm assuming it has to do with the season beginning, but I've been getting placed in games with people in gold, plat, and diamond. Me being silver I'm obviously not that good, but that results in me being flamed by my team and what not. This is obviously something i would really like to avoid of course, so i was hoping I could get an answer as to why this is happening other than the the season restarting.
Kürama1 votesThe matchmaking system matches you with and against players based on your MMR. Even if you're matched with players of other ranked tiers your MMR is likely close to theirs.
RogueWill1 votesNot quite, I'm gold player and a few days ago I was matched on a B4 game... there was a random plat dude on the enemy team balancing out my MMR ( I also had a B2 player on my team the rest were between B5 and B3). I'm guessing not many people were playing that day
