Spectator Mode - Chat Function (Cannot use it)

Hey Riot,

I've encountered this issue since the middle of last season. I forget which patch, but after one was initialized, I have been unable to use the chat function when spectating a game.

My friends say they see whispers when they spectate or see the game chat of the person they're spectating, but I am unable to.

This is kind of irritating because I can't see when my friends are trying to invite me to a game or whisper me to let me know.

I've reinstalled the game twice before (due to another issue) and it still is an issue.
