Event Assist Tracker Not Working

The Twisted Fate event is tracking my gold but not my assists. I should have had enough assists to complete it after two games of Butcher's Bridge. It says I have "0" assists.

Part of the progression thing. Only counts towards each quest one at a time. Kinda stupid, I know

I picked twisted fate too, and it didnt track my assist or gold after my first game, BS servers as always

The same thing is happening to me. I've been using random champs, but don't have TF... Do you have to use the champion specific to the event path to acquire any progress?
