Olaf Ult breaks suppression

I'm just wondering if an olaf ulti is supposed to be able to activate under suppression. It was my understanding that suppression was the only form of crowd control that there was no way to get out of by yourself. (I am not asking if it should work while Olaf's ulti is active, because I know that would be too good to be true.) I had a game last night where I was a Malzahar and there was an Olaf on the enemy team. I caught him under turret with my ult while he wasn't glowing red and half way through the duration his ult popped and I died. Is this supposed to be possible or is this a bug?

Yes, this is intended. Off the top of my head, there are 3 champions that can break suppression with their own abilities. Gangplank with his W, Alistar with his ultimate, and Olaf with his ultimate. All three of these abilities, as well as QSS/Mercurial Scimitar active, are intended to break through suppression.

I know QSS active can get rid of suppression, and I would assume that Olaf ultimate is the same.
