Counter jungle camp clearing question

So i know as you play better players the enemy jungle is much better warded. But for now, i find it fun taking the buff camp that the enemy jungle doesnt take first. I was wondering just how much that really sets the jungle back for them. I can imagine their reaction when theyre like wtf where's my red/blue buff. Does it mess a jungler up pretty bad?

It really depends on how the enemy responds and what jungling champion they are using. If they are a mana hungry champion, then taking their blue might prevent them from being able to gank well. If the enemy responds by trying to take your buff in compensation, then you might be able to catch them at it and kill them. If the enemy didn't really need the buff, then it won't put them behind much if you fully clear the camp, since it will provide more XP when it respawns and most junglers can't clear all of their early camps faster than they start respawning anyway. So, if you are trying to deny them XP/gold, then you should leave one of the small monsters alive at the buff camp so that the respawn counter doesn't start.
