Weird bug between Gp and blitz grab

While in a ranked game, I was playing as GP and was holding off a siege on the mid when a ran up on me and used Q to pull me into his team. So as obvious I waited for the grab to land and ate my orange right then and there but for some reason it did not cleanse the grab and it still pulled me into his team. This happened 4 times throughout the game and found it weird that could not get out of a blitz grab with oranges.
