Champ Select Pick Bug

So i was just in a champ select and we were waiting on the other team to pick a champ and then it would be my turn on our side to pick. The player didn't pick until after 0 sec but before it disbanded the match for him failing to pick a champ. This caused the client to freak out and say that I didn't pick a champ and now I've got the time penalty for failing to select a champ . Anyone else run into this?
