Unavoidable Abilities?

Not sure if it's a real bug, but at least wanted some clarification on certain abilities hitting even if you've moved out of range before they land. Two examples I've had is Darius 's Guillotine and Jax 's Leap Strike. I summoner 4 to the other side of a wall at the same time Darius ulted & i got killed from well beyond his range. The other example is with Kassadin and I riftwalked at the same time that Jax did his Leap Strike (also died). In both instances they landed where I used to be, not where I was at the time I died. Is it just that abilities are unavoidable once activated even though visually it looks like you're safe? I can understand when it's a ranged ability, but this just doesn't make sense with melee abilities. Anyway, if it is what it is, that's fine. But if it should be more "logical", hopefully there can be a fix?

It's meant to be that way. If you kill the Jax mid air I believe it won't do the damage, but flashing/dashing away won't stop it.

Darius apprehend is being fixed

Pantheon's stun is even more cancerous to watch it land.
