Can't play the game? It runs in the background??

Ok, this is getting really annoying. In my first ranked game every day, The game breaks, Its like it's running in the background, but I can still see everything that's going on. The window opens, but it does nothing after that. I can't buy items, can't move around, can't get abilities, nothing. I can't even pan around the map, I just the fountain, and I can watch everyone move around, but I can do nothing myself. I've tried leaving the game and coming back, I've even gone as far as to leave the game, but nothing works. ONLY in the FIRST RANKED GAME. After that I'm fine, ranked, unranked anything. Any thoughts? Please help. This is making it very difficult to climb.

Riot found that discord overlays were causing this problem in the past, so if you use discord, try turning off your overlays.

If you don't use discord, or disabling the overlays doesn't work, try running League of Legends in administrator mode. You can do this by closing the game, right-clicking on it's icon, and selecting the "Run as Administrator" option.

You should also be careful about using any other additional apps or modifications, as they can be prone to causing issues, and they're not something Riot supports. You can read more about Riot's stance regarding this here: Third Party Applications.
