[CLIENT][MAJOR] If download stops, does not resume and forced to re-download

Major Issue If my internet were to D/C for a second or two, or if the kbp/s hits 0, the download permanently stops and I have to download the full patch from scratch. This is a huge issue, as until this gets fixed I'm unable to play the game.
For example, I'm 200 MB from finishing the patch, it hits 0kbps, I have to re-download the full 3GB.
I am completely unable to start the game until Riot does something about this client issue

Are you a Mac user or windows?

I am not familiar with the windows os anymore but does it have an equivalent to appnap? Something that will basically turn off an application if its been running unchecked for to long? I know thats a lot of the problem for mac users. Try getting hardwired into the network instead of wifi and see if that helps as well!
