Garen has an ingame issue which I think is very unfair and unjustified

A garen that has built only armor, because he is fed, takes 700 damage from a full Veigar combo (E,W,Q,R) who is also fed and has full magic penetration with a deathcap. Over 800 AP with magic penetration boots and a void staff. The garen was 12/2/0 the Veigar was 8/0/0. This only happens against a Garen. I have played over 1k games on Veigar, and I know my damage capabilities very well. I could one shot anyone on the enemy team, but couldn't even do 800 damage to Garen. He had built no resistances to that type of damage. I think this undermines the point of building correctly against a certain matchup, and that being fed should not have this much impact. Broken? Should garen be aloud to build anything he wants and still be able to win any matchup against any champion with being fed justifying it? I think that because he has no magic resist, the champion should take damage like anyone else. He should have to build the magic resist in order to resist against the magic damage that I am pumping out. I can easily take down a tank built that way, but a Garen specifically has too much resistances if he is fed, even without the magic resist. Normally if a tank doesn't have magic resist, I can just about kill them with one combo, even if they are fed. I can understand if his base stats on magic resist should specifically be higher then other champions, but to nullify damage when all of his magic resist is being penetrated is all around not fair. This issue has only been encountered with the champion Garen.

I am not quite sure which game you are referring to when you talk of playing as an 8/0/0 Veigar against a 12/2/0 Garen, I can't seem to find it so I am going to assume you are talking about your most recent Veigar game against a Garen.

To that I must say, why do you feel the need to lie to try and get your point across, there are 5 lies that I can count and at least 1 exaggeration.

Garen most likely didn't take as much damage as you expected him to due to the passive on his W ability that allows him to gain up to 30 extra resistances from killing enemy minions. (Not to mention that you were actually 3/7/1 with only a Rabadon's, Sorc boots, and a blasting wand for damage 24 minutes into the game.)

And saying Garen only built armor would indeed be correct, but he only had Ninja Tabi to give him +30 armor.

I am still not sure which game you are talking about, the only other game I can see where you played Veigar against a Garen, the Garen went 6/11 and built plenty of Magic Resistance.

The lies I was specifically referring to (now referring to this older game played 6 days ago): No MR built on Garen, Garen going 12/2/0 (unless you decided to cherrypick from the two games to fit your point better), and playing over 1k games on Veigar.

I am truly sorry, but I can't seem to get a grasp on your reasoning for Garen being broken, he can be easily dealt with.

I am referring to a game that I played a week ago, and the game I recently played made me mad about the subject, because again he was taking not enough damage for the items that he had. This has happened to me so many times, and I don't understand. Even with 30 extra resistance, he should take more damage then the amount of damage that he did take from my entire combo, as well as I was hitting him while his W was down. If you check the person I was laning against in my recent game, I was out csing my lane and winning my lane. The fact that a player on my team was afk was making it harder for me to build. The only reason I brought up the game from before instead of the recent game, was because it was a better example of how broken and frustrating this has been for me. But even in the recent game, the Garen that I was attacking should have been taking more damage but wasn't, because he was fed. Also, if you check the creep scores, you will notice that before the super minions were involved and before I was having to deal with super minions, I was out csing the Garen as well. I know that players are worth gold, but it still doesn't explain the fact that a Garen with no Magic resist items is resisting against a Veigar which is built to do massive magic damage. The ninja tabai have no effect on the magic damage, and are nullified to my point because I was not auto attacking him. The lies you are claiming to have spotted are mislead and incorrect and still do not relate to the main focus of this thread. I reported the game I was referring to as a bug in the report a bug directory a week ago. In the recent game, I was stacking my AP correctly and was all around out-playing the enemy team, the Garen was just so tanky to me that it was obsurd, and literally noone else on his team could stand up to me. In the recent game, I died 5 times to that Garen due to him taking little to no damage from me.

W gives flat damage reduction. Try not to hit him when he has shields up.

I said in the previous response to the last comment. I hit him when his W was down and he was still taking little to no damage. I think his W should resist against all damage, but if his W is down, there is no reason for him to be so tanky to my magic damage with no magic resistance. Here is a rundown of the situation, I was one shotting his entire team, including one other tank, I stunned him, hit him with W,Q and R, then he pops his Q then W then runs at me tower diving me after my full combo, and lands his Q then spins on me for the full duration, then R's me and has time to run out. The damage I dealt to him before he did that was without his W activated, and he was able to tank two nexus towers, do his full combo, and make it out alive, then regen all of his health. If I would've been the one laning against him, I would've been taking advantage of his W cooldown every chance I got. But he just didn't have the resistances to be blocking as much damage as he was blocking from me in that game. This has happened several times in several games. And, I was just as fed as he was.

  1. his w passive gives him 30 armor and magic resistance

  2. activating w gives him 60% damage reduction and tenacity for 0.75 seconds, and then 30% damage reduction for the remaining duration. chances are he parried most of your burst combo by timing his w, and then dived you while the ability was running

  3. if he had steraks gage, you probably triggered its passive, which absorbed a large amount of your burst. you may have destroyed the shield with the same damage that triggered it, why you may not have noticed it and it just looked like he took little damage

there is no issue with the champion. you probably just didnt take all the factors into consideration.
