Xin Zhao R Bug

Xin's Ulti specifically states that it stuns enemies while applying a knock back. In the tool tip it says for a target who has been challenged, the knock back is not applied. Meaning if you previously hit the target with E or auto attacked said target, it would not apply the knock back. However if this is the case, as that is literally exactly what it says, then the stun should still apply regardless of whether or not the knock back applies. If this is a tool tip error then it should be amended to state that if a challenged target is hit by the ulti then both the stun and knock back are not applied. However if this is a character bug then it should immediately be patched to apply the stun no matter what. Just to be clear, it states that it both applies a stun and knock back meaning, they have purposely separated the two. Of course inherently knock backs and knock ups are a form of stun but, in this case they are very clearly applied separately. Other wise you would never see the stun active for a short duration after the knock back. It would simply end as his Q does where they can just keep walking after the initial attack. To be honest, this may be something that makes Xin somewhat viable again and would be good for his overall health and game play in the Jungle or in Top. Looking forward to hearing from you on this matter Rito.

im really sorry my dude but this is the worst splitting of hairs i have seen in all my days

It may be splitting hairs to you but, I have a valid point and if that is in fact the case then a simple change of wording seems a easy fix.

stuns are part of knock backs, just like how stuns are part of knock ups.

Since the challenge target is not knocked back, they aren't stunned.

See I could agree with that if his R simply said it applied a knock back. However in this case it states that it both applies a stun and knock back meaning they have purposely separated the two. Of course inherently knock backs and knock ups are a form of stun but, in this case they are very clearly applied separately. Other wise you would never see the stun active for a short duration after the knock back. It would simply end as his Q does where they can just keep walking after the initial attack.

The reason why the they state the stun separately is because the distance they travel can be effected by terrain.

With knock ups, no matter where they are or how close to walls they will always be effected for the same amount. With knock backs, those close to walls will not travel far at all, so the stun is to give those close to walls the same amount of time of non-fighting as those who get knocked back the full distance.

You see that should simply be common sense if you hit someone with a knock back they will only travel the full distance if there is no terrain. If you smash someone into the wall with your ult and as a result they don't travel as far, then that is your error mechanically. I don't believe that is the reason they did this as you are saying in this circumstance since it has never been mentioned as such anywhere and there are much less lazy ways to go about it. Regardless of this however, the stun lasts the same no matter what the distance is. It is still applied separately no matter how you look at it and should be treated as a separate action since that is how it works mechanically and how it is worded in the descriptions and tool tip.

fine whatever believe what you want, I'm going to bed. Have fun with your grammar till they change it to "All nearby nearby that are not challenged are stun for .75 seconds and knocked back"

Lol I find it funny instead of simply admitting I had a point, you instead chose to be passive aggressively sarcastic on the matter. I am simply looking to have a mature conversation on this. I am not looking for flame or arguments. Simply discussion and hopefully change to something that should have been resolved already. In response to your answer however, yes that would be a reasonable quick fix if, it is indeed how they intended it. I would like to mention that I also greatly appreciated your responses up until this point.

Dude you are not right nor do you have a point.

The ult stuns those that are knocked back, but the challenged target is not knocked back so they are not stun.

Yes the wording of it can be redone (this ability has been worded like this since he was released back in season 1) but I we have all understood that the stun only effected those knocked back since then.

Lol by definition of what you just said, I do in fact have a point and am in fact right. Just move on if you are not going to have anything productive to add.

Bye then.

Riot isn't like yugioh or magic. There wording can make things confusing and not literal, just what they intend. I think what's happening is the ability applies one cc all at once. The stun would be it own separate cc happening simultaneously, I don't think they intended for him to have the second cc on this ability

Well regardless of whether or not they intended it to all be applied at once or not, it is still a separate affect. If that is the case then it just solidifies my point that ether the tool tip should be amended or the champion should be patched.
