Why does the game start before everyone has loaded in?

This has happened quite a bit recently, and I know for sure it's not my PC nor internet because almost all of my friends have experienced this at least once in the past month.

Basically, you'll be in the loading screen (usually at 75-90%) and the game will start. The only reason I know the game starts is because I frequently play with friends who tell me it does. The game then thinks you're actually in the game but in reality, you're still loading. So minutes can go by before you get into the match.

So what happens when you're still loading and 3 minutes have passed? Remake.

-50 LP.

obviously, this is incredibly frustrating since there is nothing you can do to fix it. It's entirely up to Riot.

I have no clue if the bug is known or if Riot is working on it, but after getting demoted a rank, I had to post something.

Just happened again, and now I have leaverbuster and can't get rewards.

I really hope Riot fixes it soon. It seems like they've been caring less and less about the bugs in the game. Yasuo's wind wall bug, the vision plants showing up even when they're not usable yet, the mess of bugs that came with 9.14, the DCing/Crashes from the client, and many more. It's embarrassing. At least we got those new PROJECT skins though, right?

Never happened to me or any of my friends but well yeah the loading screen doesn't last forever. People aren't exactly happy to sit on a loading screen for like 10 minutes just because one person has bad internet or a buggy client.

I'd rather wait for the person with a slow internet than have them be identified by the system as a "Leaver" in a remade game, causing them to be ineligible for rewards, have leaver buster, or be marked as an account with a bad standing.

Are you saying that if a player has bad internet they should be penalized by having the match start without them because, hey, everyone else got in faster?

Does it even matter if you load in faster without having to wait for the person with the bad internet if, in the end, the game will be a remake?

Even if the player comes back before the remake window, they're still really far behind in CS and experience. It's gonna be a lane that can't be won. They will have to play catch-up the entire match. It simply ruins the laning phase even with "Catch-up" exp bonuses. Overall, it ruins the gameplay experience for the player with the slower internet and greatly decreases the quality of the match.

While you may think that way I highly doubt the majority of people want to waste their time in the loading screen. Like I understand what you're saying and it definitely sucks for the guy but it's imo not okay to basically inconvenience 4 people due to 1 person.
