i was unboxing and i got a ward skin named **Loot_name_ward_skin_rental_4, its a tree stump with a spooky face, i can only assume the ward name is a bug [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Yeah, definitely a bug. I remember like a year ago or so, one of the kog maw skins said something similar to what you saw. I think the coding is just messed up for the name of the skin/ward skin.
