League friends app issue

Hello, not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but today I tried messaging one of my friends and it didn't go through, so I thought maybe if I restart my phone with would fix it and it didn't, so I uninstalled and reinstalled my app, still nothing but when I reinstalled it said initializing. It's been saying that for a good awhile now and still hasn't gone away. I tried closing all my apps including league friends, that didn't seem to help either. Not sure of this is some kind of bug or what, but for now it seems I'm unable to use this app. I mean I can always log on to the league client and talk there. But I just thought I should maybe report this issue. Anyways if anyone has any suggestions on what I could possibly do to restore this, it would be very lovely and helpful, if not that's alright.
