I can't reconnect riot, don't you understand?

HELP! I'm stuck in the league client. It's the same screen as leaving a game. There's a button in the middle that says reconnect and if I press it, it shows a black screen and a window pops out that says "Unable to connect to the server. Please check your connection and try again.".
