Home Screen Update Caused Champ Select Screen to Freeze During Ranked

All explained in the title. Before I hit the accept button to go into the pregame lobby for a ranked game, the home page in the client menu was a generic page that had links to a Summoner's Showcase episode and some other news related stuff. But after everything that happened below (and logging back in after the crash), it switched over to the new on-going event page with the Order Vs. Chaos theme that goes in depth on everything going on with that.

Once I got into the pregame lobby, everything froze. Nothing would work, couldn't select a champion to declare, nothing. The only thing that worked was the clock that ticked down to the ban phase. However, the page didn't even transition over to the ban phase it just got stuck.

Then I kept waiting for a minute, hoping the client would unstuck itself so I wouldn't get instantly queue dodged for not locking in a ban. Never did, the clock never reset for the new phase, and hitting anything on the screen, including the X in the top right corner to exit, would still do nothing.

What felt like a minute later, a pop up screen said, "There was an issue getting you connected into your game lobby," or something like that. And even pressing the button saying, "Okay," on the popup did not work!

Finally, I just alt-F4'ed the client because I knew at that point there was nothing I could do. Miraculously, I could still hit, "Yes," on that screen to close the client properly.

And I'm pissed, because this counted as a queue dodge by me and took away 4 LP, which I noticed after I logged back in. So I got totally screwed from something completely out of my control, something that Riot personally implemented. And now instead of being potentially 2 games away from a promo series, I am now at least 3 games away because of the 4 LP that I got gypped out of due to this stupid glitch.

Please fix this so it doesn't happen to tons of other people the next time you change the home page please. And it'd be really, really nice if you gave me back the 4 LP you guys stole from me.
