Failing to load into champion select or game

Since the release of patch 5.20 I have had issues while loading into some games. Either I have loaded into the champion select menu locked in and then the match fails to load or there is a failure to load the champion select. Closing and restarting has allowed me to load in but I have been late arriving into game because of this. Is anybody else experiencing this?
