Couldn't Lock In During Champ Select

Was in a ranked lobby, ready to select my champion. I was last pick and when my turn came i hit the button to lock in my champion, but nothing happened. The countdown timer continued and I couldn't hit the button again. I tried hovering and even locking in another champion but nothing fixed it. Fucking furious. 3 LP and 5 minutes of my time wasted.
