varus max range q on aram deals no damage but shows hit animation.
i have only tested it on aram, but can confirm that every max range q vs champions deals no dmg but still dmgs minions.

This has happened to me multiple times too. Was playing with friends in poro king yesterday, one was playing varus and they were like 'wtf the q did no dmg.' It happened about 3 times and I thought he just missed the first two times but I saw it the third time.
This have happend to me aswell, several times. Minions, monsters, champions...
