[CLIENT] LOL Client Major BUG (with video proof)
Heyy everyone.. so we've all had those games where we load the client and it's laggy and slow for some reason.. when we get into a queue and go to accept, it laggs and sticks and freezes... Champ select even freezes before you load in to select your champs... and the countdown timer sometimes goes from 10 to 0 in under one second... It's not just you my friend. You're not crazy.
I'VE FOUND OUT WHY....
LOOK AT MY DESKTOP. THERE'S THE CLIENT AND THERE'S A RAINMETER SKIN THAT MONITORS THE CPU USAGE OF EACH CORE....
NOTICE HOW EACH CPU IS SHARING THE LOAD AND LOGICAL PROCESSORS ARE ALL WORKING.. ALL 8 OF THEM. I HAVE A CORE i7 AS YOU CAN SEE.. BUT ...
LOOK WHAT HAPPENS AND WHICH CORES ARE BEING USED WHEN I GO INTO THE CLIENT....
DID YOU NOTICE THAT?? ALL THE OTHER CORES WENT IDLE AND ONLY 2 THREADS (1 CORE) WENT TO 100%... LET'S GO BACK TO THE CLIENT AND SEE THIS AGAIN... AS YOU CAN SEE ALL CORE THREADS ARE MOVING.. BUT LET'S GO BACK TO THE CLIENT AND SEE...
SEE THE STICKING AND INPUT LAG??
SO WE'VE FOUND THE PROBLEM WITH THE CLIENT.
RIOT GAMES WILL SAY TO ENABLE LOW SPEC MODE LIKE IF THAT EVEN WORKS...
LOW SPEC MODE HAS BEEN ENABLED.... AND LOOK STILL THE SAME PROBLEM!!!
NOTICE HOW EVEN WITH LOW SPEC MODE ENABLED, THE MULTITHREADED PROCESS WORK AS NORMAL WHEN OUT OF THE CLIENT... BUT THE MOMENT WE FOCUS THE CLIENT, ALL THE OTHER THREADS GO TO 0% AND ONLY ONE CORE IS TAXED TO 100 %
SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM???
SHITTY CODING... THE MULTITHREADED IMPLEMENTATION IS NOT THERE. SO YOU ARE FORCED WITH THE BUGGY CLIENT ONTO A SINGLE CORE.
