Zed can use ignite on a target that is out of the range by following certain steps.

  1. Click W twice towards the distant target.
  2. Aim at the nearest target and use ult.
  3. Use ignite on the distant target.

its a bug but at the same time it isn't

because when you W W then R you switch to the W near the far target then you ignite him thinking you did out of range. this is normal but the bug here is that the W shadow that you switched with goes back to where you threw it from so you saying being able to ignite an out of distant champion is wrong it just that you switched and ignited that target so fast and you can see zed switching there before ulting.
