I fixed the issue by following the steps on this article https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/wBh3OdUi-how-to-fix-login-errors
same here, i looked up fixes including this ipconfig reset, i tried logging in through my vpn (appeared like that worked for some)
but none of that worked, instead I had to do a full uninstall that also meant getting rid of all the registry files and anything that may usually be left behind after a uninstall (i use Revo uninstaller)
then i re-downloaded the game and now it works again.
I'm not exactly sure why it's doing this all of a sudden, i had played like 8 games yesterday and then around 9 or 10 pm i started getting that message, thought it was no big deal and tomorrow (today) it'd be fixed and it still wasn't.
Do a full uninstall and just re-download the game and it'll work again
