Relic Shield Bug

Not sure if its just me, but when I was playing Thresh with Relic Shield and its other upgrades, Spoils of War's execution is not working. I might just be wrong, this is my first time with Relic Shield Thresh.

UNIQUE Passive - Spoils of War: Melee basic attacks execute minions below 200 Health. Killing a minion heals the owner and the nearest allied champion for 40 Health and grants them kill Gold.

Thresh isn't melee (i.e. he is ranged), so he doesn't get the execute.

I came on to report this same issue. Relic Shield is his recommended support item. It's odd that he's considered Ranged, when he is using a melee weapon, just a longer melee weapon. That'd be like saying, Jax using a long pole, or Xin using a pole arm isn't melee.

Anyway, I get it now, if that's why it doesn't work on Thresh. Good to know, I won't build it. However, they should remove it from his recommended items, and they should make it more clear that Thresh is a "Ranged Support".
