Arcane Shift Is Uninterruptible?

So I had this happen to me in a blitzcrank game recently, and I've found it in some videos online where cc that should interrupt abilities and keep champs locked down, such as blitz's grab, will physically move ezreal, but won't interrupt the casting sequence for his arcane shift. Basically meaning that with the proper timing, an Ezreal can cast his jump, be caught by a grab, and then finish jumping out.

If that's how the mechanics are supposed to interact, then fine, but it seemed fishy to me, so I thought I'd mention it.

This has been a issue for a long time and many things like it have popped up. the reason for it is.

Peoples like to

Press button ->Effect happen

At one point in time riot had things

Press button ->Animation->Effect happen

But this was making people upset so riot changed it if there is a animation it'll play during or after the effect. But never before.

In reality (what people wanted at first) was to just remove the animation and you would not have pulled him at all as it would be a instant flash

Edit: So what's going on is

Blitz Q -> Ez flash -> Ez pulled -> Ez animation finishes

To keep it simple.

Ezreal's Arcane Shift has a cast time and not a channel time. Channels can be interrupted, but cast times cannot.

If Ezreal has already been casting his E, a split second before Blitzcrank 's Q reaches him, he will be able to get out. Same thing applies with roots and some if not all other forms of crowd control.

ex. Ezreal getting hit with Morgana's Q while the casting was already in effect.

His ult is the same way, Lux 's ult is the same way, Tristana 's W is the same way..

This works with pretty much any champion with an animated blink... Ekko Shaco Ezreal etc..
