Possible Corrupt File in Patch [Client] [Crash]

After this new patch came through, I tried playing the game again. It would not work. Simple following, I ran LoL, logged in, and entered the queue for ranked solo queue. I was able to approach the character selection screen, but once the match began, I received a black screen where the character loading screen should have been with an error message stating the client had crashed and that I needed to visit site <<https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201761974>> for bug splat resolution to my problem. I followed all steps listed under the Windows interaction, to cover all my bases, then tried entering the game again (never having left the game in progress). No good. I exited out of the LoL application, and restarted it, trying to log in to my game in progress. Same results, same message. I restarted my computer, fiddled with my firewall to be certain LoL was permitted, changed my router settings, and ran the bug splat trouble shoot steps again. By this time my first game had ended and I was marked as an AFK. Luckily I was only support and the team won. I tried another ranked game, hoping I had fixed the issue. NOPE. bug splat. I followed bug splat trouble shoots again, repeating steps several times. No good. I still could not join my game in progress. Game ended, and my team lost. I restart my LoL application, and this time, instead of trying a third ranked game, I went to team build, to see if it only occurred with ranked. Nope. Same issues. Finally, I restart the application, for the FOURTH time and FINALLY it tells me that I may have a corrupt file in a pop-up window. I run a repair, twice, to be certain. results to follow.

Just in case - has anybody else reported issues with corruption in this patch?
