LOL BETA CLIENT FREEZES, TRIES TO REINSTALL, UNKNOWN ERROR OCCURS

So I haven't updated to the beta client for a while, because last time it worked fine for about a day and then wouldn't load. However I was interested in trying out the "practice tool" so I updated and crossed my fingers hoping that it wouldn't glitch. Of course, when I try to log in the next day all I get is a black screen, supposedly "my client" that won't quit unless you force it to. Next best thing is to re-install League so I throw the old application in the trash and re-download the whole thing.

It's downloading and is at 99% and then it says "unknown error occurs" you can imagine my reaction. I was pissed. I decide to try again but of course the same thing happens. So riot? I love your game, but I can't play it. Please try to get me an answer ASAP so I can start playing again. You can imagine how this can really be a downer.

I am installing League on a new computer, and succeeded in upgrading yesterday. Today, I open the shortcut and the patcher comes up and starts the Upgrade procedure. What's going on??? I just installed and used it YESTERDAY! Now I want to get my Brand practice in and I can't because it's still downloading the install that already occurred!
