just had an iron 3 in my silver 1 ranked game. not sure if the ranked system is broken but he went 0/9/0 and obviously didn't belong in a silver 1 ranked game he was iron 3 just wondering if this is intended or if its broken or just a rare occurrence has this happened to anyone else? is this getting fixed or some sort of "working as intended" that i cant understand.
in the boards ive seen a smattering of some slightly more severe cases so possibly its occurring elsewhere? I do know that in the original setup you could queue up with people 2 ranks below/above you in certain situations (like a gold can queue up with a bronze for example) so in this case it might be a friend trying to boost a newer to the game friend but not being successful.

It's intentional. New accounts start in Iron. This player probably had silver MMR, but their rank has not caught up yet.
I had that issue also in one game. Only, he was on my enemy team and I destroyed him only to find he was iron 4 at the end.
MMR is currently broken for new accounts. My main is d4 and i have to rank a brand new account all the way from iron. But the magic thing is you don’t play with other iron you play with what your MMR reflects. I’m playing with high gold- high plat as a iron/bronze getting 30+ lp a match
