blocked players are not actually blocked

  1. when i block a player after game over screen, the option does grey out. but when i find them in my match history, the block option becomes available again, and it doesn't grey out after clicking.
  2. recently i can't find a single troll i blocked in my block list since the new client update.
  3. although the whole time i thought it was sketchy, but i did confirm it yesterday. i met against a troll i blocked from the previous match. heard him/her talk. block option also available after the game ends.

all in all the block option in game over screen does absolutely nothing. put back all the trolls i blocked into my block list. i don't want to waste my time playing with them again.

just gonna add the bug #4 and 5 here. originally i listed them further down down my comments. 4 & 5. a guy in my friend list turned out to be troll. after the game i reported and ignored him and all his teamates. then they somehow were able to invite me back to another game. heard all of them talk. and the guy is still on my friend list. here is the screen shot of this bug below: https://ibb.co/dobhPa "i find a new block option in the friend list. so i thought maybe this is one of your (riiots) contingency measure for block from friend list bugs. but i i was wrong. i just get a text message saying "oops" and nothing happens."

Blocking players doesn't prevent them from being matched with you. It only prevents them from talking to you.

The block list prevents the players from adding you as a friend and (I believe) automatically mutes them in-game.

It isn't meant to affect matchmaking.

If players aren't being added to (or retrieved from) the block list properly, that is an issue.

A) when you block someone its always been possible to meet them in another game (it happens, its going to continue to happen too) B) to find your blocked list - open your settings from the league of legends gear menu and go to the block list - you will find your entire list there C) blocking someone simply means "I dont want to hear from this player again" (in chat, not in game) there is no way to block you and them from playing another game together, except through reports and bans
