[CLIENT] Relative team colours function not working

The relative team colors option (turns your buildings and minions blue regardless which side you're on) doesn't seem to be working for me. Only the minimap shows the change in color. As far as I know it seems to be an extremely rare issue, I only saw one other case on reddit where the guy's colors were stuck on the other way round (allied minions always blue regardless of whether the option was enabled)

For the record I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times to no avail, and the option was functional until maybe a couple patches ago.
