Anivia's R [GAMEPLAY]

Hello Riot I was playing against a Anivia and she casts her R, she was able to get the ability to do the full charge but when I tried to go in and stun her with Leona the ability still was up for .5 of a sec even after the stun went threw. Does that mean the ability will still do damage even after I stun to stop the channel?

Did you use Leona's Q/R to stun her, or were you referring to Leona's E? Because her E is not a stun, its a root which wouldn't stop Anivia's ultimate or any channel ability.
