Frozen champion selection made me have to dodge a ranked

So yeah, I've sat here in the champion selection screen for a good 10 minutes, I guess at some point, I had a connection timeout or something but I wasn't given much of a choice but to dodge.

What makes me sad is that I had a hot streak going and was in promo, annnnd now that I've been forced out of it, its like I've been played. I wish there was some kind of way where we had the option to not get punished for having to get out of a ranked when something like this happens.
