Maybe the person issued a chargeback. Ask the person who gifted.

His account was suspended for 14 days, so I don't think he could've?

Ah, there's another option then.

He could have clicked one of those free RP scam sites and got hacked; usually the hacker spams gifts and does as much damage as possible. When Riot picks up on it the account is suspended until the owner contacts them and is verified, and the actions on the account are reversed.

we were in a skype call when he was gifting me, and he just spends a lot of money on league. He prob got suspended for being toxic.

A toxicity ban wouldn't cause that though, so I'm not quite sure what happened then :/

Could e-mail player support to ask about it.
