Poppy bug (w does not prevent dashing)

I'm sure the W does prevent some dashes, however there are a few I have noticed it does not work on. I faced Hecarim in top lane, he was able to use his dash to escape out of my w, and into my w. I also happened to be facing an amumu, and throughout the game he too was able to dash to me, upon landing his Q. Again, this is when my W is active, which should prevent any and all sources of dashing from coming in. I understand "blinks" aren't included. However, these are not blinks, as you can see the champion moving in the case of Hecarim and Amumu. Upvote if you have experienced the same issue.

I feel like Amumu isn't a dash, more of a hook type thing than anything, like Blitz hook only inverse.

I think what we need is a very easy to understand description of what Poppy will "negate" when W is active. For example, you have (dashes, blinks, pulls,) we're told his W prevents target dashing, whether they're trying to come in, or leave. So, what would you classify a Amumu (q) coming in be? What would you classify a Thresh (q 2nd active) coming in be? In the video description Lee sin is unable to come in upon reactivating (q).

My last match as poppy, Hecarim was able to come into and out of my W while he was doing his dash, and Amumu was able to come into me upon landing his Q which I would argue he "dashes" to the enemy he hits. My W did not prevent either of these.

Anything that would either bring poppy in, or anything that would bring somebody into poppy. What exactly does his W prevent? What exactly does his W not prevent?

  1. Dashes - Leblanc (w), Aatrox (q), Alistar (w), Fiora (q)
  2. Blinks - Ezreal (e), Ekko (e), Kassadin (r), Shaco (q)
  3. Pulls - Blitzcrank (q), Darius (e), Nautilus (q)

I agree, a clearer understanding of what it negates would be nice. As far as Hecarim is concerned, maybe it's because that's coded as a move speed buff, not a dash so it doesn't negate it (never played Hecarim tho so I may be talking about the wrong ability.)

I played Kennen into Poppy and if I remember correctly, my E wasn't negated, which is also a move speed buff, not a dash. Not sure if that's why but that's my best guess. It provides some counterplay to the ability too which is fine by me, instead of just not letting any champions get away ever, it would allow for specific champions to fare better, those that have mobility through move speed buffs rather than dashes.

I think he was talking about Hec's move speed buff, not his ult.
