[Gameplay] Can't move camera around in death

Like the title says, sometimes (I'm not sure how to trigger it, during teamfights I hold down space maybe that's it?) after a death I cannot move my camera around. I always play with unlocked camera, and a majority of the time this wouldn't be an issue, but it would be nice to look around and ping. I've tried (y) to lock and unlock the camera, I've tried clicking the mini map, and I've tried to alt tab out of the game and then going right back in. I have an i5 3750k with a GTX 660.
