Got kicked from lobby even though no one dodged?

This is the weirdest thing to happen in awhile, happened on the new client. A friend an I were in queue for a normal game on draft pick and everyone got through the ban and pick phase, the timer ticked all the way to zero and it stalled for a couple seconds, went blank like it was about to open but then we were sent to the home screen, out of queue and I couldn't click the play button. This has happened to me on legacy client once about a year ago and all i had to do was reconnect, and i tried that but no dice. I restarted and logged in to legacy client and still nothing. I'm currently able to go into queue, I hope that game isn't happening in some alternate universe with 2 afks.
