[MATCHING SYSTEM IN 3s BROKE]

My friends and I, Silver 5, and 2 bronzes constantly go up against teams with much higher rated players. This last game was against 1 Plat and 2 unranked, which were both at least gold+.

I would rather sit in queue for 30 minutes then go against these teams. We lost 34ish to 5 in a 19 minute surrender. I understand the match making system is not perfect, but what algorithm written my someone from Riot would ever constantly place Plats vs Bronzes. It's gotta be a bug in the software.

It's because of a thing called MMR. If you win a lot you will be placed against higher teams in Ranked Twisted Treeline despite your normal solo queue rank. For example if someone who is gold wins 100 games in Ranked Twisted Treeline yet loses 100 in Ranked Solo Queue (probably would never happen but), they would most likely be matched against diamonds/challenger in Twisted Treeline and Bronze in Solo queue (sorry for bad example but what I could think of). Either way being matched up against people much higher rank than you is a good thing :).
