"Improper Installation Path" HRT

So I've been having a lot of tech issues with league, shitty client, yada yada. Tried to give the HRT another go. It tells me it cannot find the installation path for League. The last time I had to reinstall League, I made very sure that it was installing in Windows (C:) Riot Games, as the installer SELECTS BY DEFAULT. I have never moved LoL's folders. I'm wondering why the HRT keeps encountering this issue and why it's causing me so many problems.

UPDATE: HRT just finished "fixing" and reinstalling the game. Client will no longer load. It's a repeat of this issue I had last month. I guess I'll spend the next couple hours uninstalling and reinstalling until the game works again.
