"Leaver" after 4.20

I'm a little concerned by a recent development in my games. After 4.20, I have lagged out, suddenly and without warning, of two different games. Both times it happened in the mid to late game, and both times the system told me that I was a "LEAVER" in big, red letters after i finally got back into the client (both times after the game had already ended). Now I'm being threatened with penalties by the automated updated leaver-buster system. I'm 32 years old. I'm a father. I'm a grown-ass man. I have never rage-quit a game of LOL.

This never happened to me post 4.20, i'm 100% certain my internet connection is functioning. I'm not as certain exactly what is causing it.

Am I gonna get slapped with penalties because of this, or can the system tell the difference between a software problem and a deliberate quit?

Software can't tell between you pulling the router plug and connecting architecture between you and Riots servers having issues. Just shows that it lost connectivity for whatever reason. My router power cycled itself the other day, and Curse kept communication up just fine, but League couldn't re-establish connection. I had to Alt F4 and Reconnect. By the time I got back in my team had finished out the inevitable win, but I was Leaver stamped and had to sign the "i solemnly swear that I'm not up to no good" pact.

Haven't had any warnings since. As a father I'd recommend making sure your kids aren't on their tablets watching Minecraft videos while you're playing as they suck up pipe and if you're like me lower end DSL is your reality so any use besides league and your communication software are likely to cause "Attempting to reconnects" etc.
