Twitch Not Activating Dark Harvest With His Passive [GAMEPLAY]

LazEness·2/3/2020, 3:55:19 AM·4 votes·5,014 views

When Dark Harvest was changed in patch 8.24 to no longer work with Liandrys, Scorch, etc, it no longer works with Twitch poison passive. It does, however, activate with Brand's passive. If it works with Brand's it should work with Twitch's as well.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Damage an enemy below the Dark Harvest threshold (which doesn't activate Dark Harvest).
  2. Wait for poison to deal damage. 3 Dark Harvest does not activate as it should in specific example of Brand's passive.

This issue occurs 100% of the time. A further note is that this worked before patch 8.24 just fine. Please take some time to look into this I appreciate it!

If it resets the combat CD timer for Hail of Blades it should deal damage with Dark Harvest. That inconsistency needs to be resolved one way or the other.

Oh.

iirc, long ago, Twitch's passive got changed (under the hood) so it didn't triple trigger the old Spellthief's Edge with a single auto/W. Whoever it is that works on Twitch doesn't like weird interactions between his Passive and other effects in game.

This might be a carry over from that change; perhaps someone thought it wasn't a good interaction and stealth nerfed it.

Or it's a bug but eh lemme speculate.

If Brand can proc dark harvest with any of his spells I don't see how that's any different than twitch's passive being able to proc it. In fact twitch has a spell that applies his passive (W) just like brand. Heck teemo's (E) has a passive that procs it too.

his passive doesn't trigger allot of things like electrode and sheen.

Twitch (and Darius) passive deals "proc damage". This means that it does not trigger spell effects including Dark Harvest. Not a bug, just not a necessarily intuitive interaction. Brand passive deals "spell damage" which, yeah, triggers spell effects.
