Key Fragments not dropping

I just want to clarify I read the 6.6 patch notes and did see the part about key fragments not dropping in other non-Summoners Rift game types

> "First off, we'll quickly mention we're aware of a bug where key fragments aren't dropping after matchmade Treeline or ARAM wins."

This post will be about Summoners Rift Key Fragments. I have been playing regularly since the day they were added. I opened my first box and key that were given to me on release day. Shortly after I have received 3 boxes and 3 Key Fragments to make one key. Since then I haven't received any new Key Fragments while I play ranked and normal modes. While friends I'm playing with have been getting a ton of Key Fragments for playing the same game I was in.

From what I remember reading the Key Fragments are a random drop from games. I seem to be either extremely unlucky or there is something missing

If anyone else is having this problem please comment here so riot is aware of the issue.

The drop rate decreases to the point where you can easily win 15 or so games and not get a key. Riot should display the current key drop rate- otherwise it is frustrating.

Yeah, at this point- i've won over 20+ wins in both ranked and normals and not a single ... key drop. The more key fragments you get, the harder / unlikely the next drop will be. This mechanic is flat out infuriating and I despise it with a passion. I want to earn my key fragments through time & effort, not by some random chance that decreases every time I do eventually get a key fragment.

It makes me lose interest in Hextech Crafting, and I have two chests just sitting in my inventory waiting to be opened but I don't have any keys period. Riot please fix this, or make it where we get key fragments far more often.

This is SERIOUSLY starting to piss me off!!!!! I have played like 25 winning matches and CANNOT GET A SINGLE key fragment i have 2 boxes that i can open and 2 key fragments. I know riot is giving free skins and all, but whoever came up with this key system was on drugs when they created it. GIVE ME A KEY

I have not gotten a single key fragment in 11 days. I have played roughly 3-5 games a day since. Rito Please. 5 chests. 0 key fragments.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

Nope.. 40+ games now and not one key. They just want to use the impatience of people to leach more money. I'll reply on my comment when if I reach over 60+ games.

I believe there's a weekly limit as to how many can actually drop, and I believe 3 is that limit.

same. I have gotten only 4 key fragments in over 50 games and ive managed to get a total of 5 boxes in that time span.

Same here. I got 3 key fragments and it seems I can't get more. In the current state, chests are useless without keys. That's unfair and infuriating. Riot please at least let me buy keys with IP!

I have been having problems getting key frags as well. Playing with one friend, he constantly seems to be getting key frags and boxes, and I have gotten nothing. He has in a short period of time gotten much more than I have, I've had the opportunity to only open one box other than the original free one. It is very frustrating and i'm wondering why I'm not getting any but he still seems to be. I play his support, and I wonder now if it has something to do with that. ~I am now, a very irritated player.

Yep. Got enough key fragments to open 2 boxes and now I've been at 2 key fragments for the past week. I've won over 20 games both solo and in premades and still haven't gotten another key fragment. Riot needs to seriously look at how these drop rates fall off because right now it feels impossible to get enough key fragments to open all your boxes.

Im having the same issue, ive won 5 games today. Last week add about 20-25 more and i havnt gotten a fragment sense monday of last week. Im stuck with 4 chests and and can't seem to get the 3rd fragment to open 1. Riot really needs to fix this.

Same thing but with boxes for me. Have gotten 3-4 S games in normals today, no box. Not chat restricted or anything, and got boxes before playing ranked. Am I doing something wrong? Getting keys though.

I had 10 games chat ban and after my games it saying that i cant take key fragment or chest becauze i had bad behavioral but when chat ban end it stills saying it. i know i am bad in english sorry

I've also had a problem with key fragments I have played at least 17 matches of summoners rift 5v5 and not gotten a single key fragment I'm stuck on 3 chests and 2 key fragments. And I would also really like this glitch to be fixed.

Rito you my friend have the most flawed Key drop system I have ever seen. I email you telling you about how it's been over a week and have not received a single Key and you tell me it's the drop rate. However, majority of my friends have no issue getting Keys left and right.... hmmm something sounds flawed don't you think. Especially, if they are receiving Keys for most of the games they play and I'm stuck behind my computer frustrated as ever at this s@$% system (excuse me for my language). I will not spend money on Keys because honestly it's a waste, the reason being the items i would get after purchasing Keys and Chest are mostly items I already own. I still spend money on you Rito, the least you can do is make a better system for these Key drops please and thank you.

I have not received a key fragment in over a month even though I have been getting chests every so often. I am hoping to have to more clarification from riot on whether or not this is a bug.

I payed for some keys and chests between the patch 6.6 and 7.8 and since then i did not get a single key fragment which is really annoying I got many chests now and no key fragments i feel scammed :(

i've recently started having this problem on normal summoners rift games where my fragments aren't dropping, like at all. All my friends are picking them up and i'm just not getting any. I don't understand because it's not like i win every game or anything. It was fixed for a small time at the beginning of april and i got a couple more but they stopped dropping again after that. Please help.

Hello I have the feeling that I have a bug on the account when a player has a lot of win with good rebounds ... 29 level! All the time 2 keys and 3 boxes ???? :( I understood from other players that they won GAREN and ASHE at level 5!?!?! I did not get these 2 heroes ... to whom to turn for info? :(
