OS Sierra USB Mouse bug

My USB mouse has been very erratic ever since updating to OS Sierra. I had an older Mac that had the issue so I reverted to El Capitan on it and the problem went away. However, I recently got a new Mac and downloaded Sierra without thinking and so now the problem is back. I do not want to downgrade again to El Capitan. The mouse jerks for no reason whenever I move it. If I try to move it back and forth quickly in the same space to test if it will follow my movements exactly, it will jerk to the other side of the screen. Please get on this problem ASAP! It is impossible to play the game with this issue.
