[CRASH] Game crashes after Champion Select

Hello All,

I have a persistent bug that I can't seem to get around. Doesn't matter which game mode.

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Start a game and go into Champion Select
  2. Wait for the game to try to load
  3. Reconnect button will appear and never let you in.

I've tried a lot of things. I even tried running the game in safe mode with networking and it won't start. I disabled Anti-virus, disabled windows firewall. I've updated windows to the 17751 build. I've rolled back the build to 17734. I've Repaired league, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I removed everything from the registry and tried uninstalling and reinstalling again. I've run the sfc scannow in the command prompt. I've updated my graphics card drivers. Yes I've restarted my computer too. Not sure what else to do here. I've been at it for about 9 hours.

Here's my cpu: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3901 Mhz

Sitting at the champ load in screen for 5 - 30mins before i can load into the game pretty amazing. This season only i’ve gotten Leaver queue (20min per 5) at least 6 times. From playing for 4 seasons this has been the laggiest and most bug ridden client. The only temporary fixes i’ve found are:

-Using Hextech repair to force repatch -Disabling and re-enabling firewall access to certain league apps in control panel -Running as admin

-(leaving client open close during game changes none) -(low spec mode on/off changes none) -(reinstalling didn’t seem to do anything) -(any router/modem changes do nothing) -(ethernet cable/wifi makes no difference) -(having no other programs running no diff) -This happens on PBE too but it’s usally laggier there anyways.

(ping counter at bottom stays at zero during load in screen. Will occainsonly load in other players showing their percent loaded while my own shows zero.)

I'm running into the same problem. It's so frustrating because my PC is fine, there's nothing wrong with it at the moment, and yet League is still crashing every game. It's gotten to the point where it might reduce my Honor levels, so I've had to stop playing until there's a fix announced.

A repatch didn't help, a full reinstall didn't help either.

I have the same problem. It's caused by a low level change in windows that affects the HTTP/2 protocol, which messed up connection to league servers. There's nothing we can do until riot fixes the client, so we have to be patient :/

Pretty sure I am having the same bug. I have been getting persistent network warning errors and having the game crash and not reconnect from circa 15 ping for the last 3 days. I can't play the game :( I have reinstalled 3x, repatched, and tried a wide variety of different bug fixes for this problem with no dice yet. Although Mr Amazing you should submit a ticket. The tech support is very helpful in coming up with potential solutions and one of them might work for you. Best of luck

I am having a similar issue as OP except it is intermittent. About once a day right after champion select ends but before loading screen appears, client will ding and freeze. At this point i am unable to even alt-tab out and have to ctrl-alt-del just to get to where i can restart. when i do restart and open client, lol client says "Legacy Client now Retired" and my only option is to install league of legends. when i did this yesterday it patched for like over an hour.

I have the same problem and have reported it twice now. Sitting in loading screen I ctl/alt/del to find "Not Responding". I end process and try to reload. Sometimes it works but have lost LP because it reports me as a "Leaver". It's annoying as hell!!! I hope they fix it soon. I'm getting tired of losing LP because of their client issues!!

well i had a problem very similar to this but i tried everything. i tried the hextech repair tool, reinstalling it and every other solution i can find like deleting some files. but non of these worked, i just had to reinstall windows or if that doesnt work just do a full format. thats the only thing that worked for me and you guys are probs to lazy for that but thats what worked for me

This is happening to me right now, after champion select nothing would happen and when ever I try to close the game it says that the Client isn't responding at least everyday day this happens sometimes the game works sometimes it doesn't and I don't have any connections issues and my pc is working good as well.

My game cannot connect to the game after "Champion Select, either it crushes immidiately or it's just showing me the "reconnect" button. I coppied to my clip board the specific error below: C:\Users\C23F~1\AppData\Local\Temp\PKM2562.tmp

And then, sometimes only my PC and my team's PC have stopped during the team fight in the rank... Please, fix the bug to make good game for all of player. for me, for friends.

I've had this issue for the past 2 weeks now. I gave up and just uninstalled LoL after playing for nearly 5 years.

This has been happening since windows insider preview update (RS5) rolling back works if you have the right build. I was unlucky and windows updated twice so I can't roll back to a working build

so it is an windows insider preview bug. i hope either of them fixes it. until then no league
