So a few hours ago my profile said that I was in my series to G5 with 1 loss. At the moment , when I look at my profile it says I'm in silver1 with 83 lp. When looking at leagues which is one of the sections in your profile it says that I'm up for promotion with 1 loss. When searching it up on op.gg it says I have 83 lp and yes I have recently refreshed it. Has anyone ever experienced this?
You do actually lose LP while in promos if you lose matches. You know how if you lose your series you'll end up with like 60-90 LP? That is the LP deducted from your lost series matches plus your won matches, and it's calculated even while in your series still.
Your displayed LP will never go above 100, but if (for example) you win your first match you will actually be over 100. If you lose the next match you may not fall below 100 so it doesn't look like it changed at all when it really did.
