Ashe ult imploded on launch

Basically i fired my ult on a vayne which was gonna hit and kill her but instead it imploded on launch, my support who i was in ts with was also like ''What the hell?'' This is the first time it happened to me and im not sure but i think it happened again that game only i forgot what exactly happened only that i fired it and it imploded again
